Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These terms govern the enrolment and participation of students at GlobalUniPath, an accredited provider of online qualifications. By enrolling in a course, students agree to comply with these terms.

2. Key Definitions

"Enrolment" or "Course Start"

The moment a student officially joins a programme, marked by the receipt of login details and full access to the online learning platform.

"Agreement"

The legally binding contract between the student and GlobalUniPath upon acceptance of these terms.

"Study Period"

The designated timeframe in which a student has access to the course materials, academic support, and the learning platform.

"Course Materials"

All digital resources provided as part of a programme, including written content, recorded lectures, assessments, and updates.

3. Admission and Enrolment

3.1. Eligibility

  • Applicants must meet the academic entry requirements for their chosen course as stated in the admissions criteria.
  • Students whose first language is not English may be required to provide proof of English proficiency (e.g. IELTS or equivalent) or meet other requirements as stated in admissions criteria.

3.2. Visa and Immigration (For International Students)

  • As a fully online distance learning provider, students do not need a visa to study with GlobalUniPath.
  • We do not provide visa or immigration support. Students are responsible for ensuring their residency or study arrangements comply with local laws and regulations.

3.3. Acceptance of Offer

  • Students must formally accept their offer and pay the required deposit or first instalment before the specified deadline in the offer letter.

3.4. Application Fraud & Misrepresentation

  • All submitted documents must be accurate and genuine. Providing false academic records, English test results, references, or plagiarised statements may result in an offer withdrawal or expulsion.
  • No refund will be provided for students rejected due to fraudulent or misleading applications.

3.5. Communication Protocols

  • Students must ensure that their contact details are kept up to date and that they regularly check their emails and student portal for updates.
  • All formal communications from GlobalUniPath will be sent via email or LMS or text message, and it is the student’s responsibility to ensure they receive these communications.

4. Tuition Fees and Payments

4.1. Fee Structure

  • Fees are outlined in the course offer letter and must be paid as per the specified schedule.
  • Non-payment of fees may result in restricted access to course materials until outstanding payments are made.
  • Students are responsible for any additional assessment fees, resubmission charges, or fees for requesting transcripts/certificates.
  • If an assessment fee has been paid but a student fails to submit coursework or misses deadlines, the fee is non-refundable.
  • Failure to pay fees may also impact the student's ability to enrol in future courses or receive certifications.

4.2. Payments

  • All fees must be paid directly to GlobalUniPath’s bank account. Payments made to third parties claiming to represent GlobalUniPath are the student’s responsibility.
  • Fees are subject to annual review and may increase slightly each year.

4.3. Refund Policy

  • Refund requests are subject to our Refund Policy, available on our website.
  • Refunds are only available under exceptional circumstances, and administrative fees may apply.

5. Academic Requirements

5.1. Progression and Assessment

  • Students must meet coursework deadlines and assessment requirements to progress through their qualification.
  • If you plan to take a break from your course, you must inform us in advance.
  • If you do not achieve the required standards set by GlobalUniPath or the awarding body for the course, you will be required to resubmit assignments.
  • In case of resits or resubmission of the assignments, any associated costs, unless stated otherwise, will be outlined to you before proceeding with a resubmission.
  • The number of resubmission attempts allowed may be limited in accordance with industry regulations or the policies of the awarding body.

5.2. Plagiarism and Academic Misconduct

  • GlobalUniPath has a zero-tolerance policy for plagiarism and academic misconduct.
  • We reserve the right to review your submissions for AI-generated content and will reject any work identified as plagiarised.
  • Any breaches may lead to disciplinary action, including removal from the course.
  • No tuition fees refund will be made in case of withdrawal from the course due to plagiarism, AI-generated content, or any other academic misconduct.

5.3. Accreditation and Course Requirements

  • Courses are awarded by Ofqual-recognised awarding bodies.
  • Some courses may require work experience or additional compliance with professional regulatory bodies.

5.4. Course Withdrawal and Extensions

  • Voluntary Withdrawal: Students who wish to withdraw from the course due to unforeseen circumstances or change in personal circumstances must submit their request in writing. Refund eligibility will be granted at the discretion of GlobalUniPath and is not guaranteed. The timing of the withdrawal from the course as per our Refund Policy will also be taken into consideration.
  • Students who wish to extend their study period must apply for an extension, which may be subject to additional fees.

6. Technology and Access

6.1. Technical Requirements

  • Students must have reliable internet access and appropriate technical equipment (e.g. laptop, necessary software).

6.2. Access to Course Materials

  • Course materials are provided through our online learning platform.
  • Access may be restricted due to non-payment, academic misconduct, or breaches of these terms.
  • All courses will be delivered through an online learning platform. We reserve the right to switch to a different platform at any time, and in such cases, we will not be held responsible for any additional obligations to you. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the necessary internet access and technical capabilities to fulfil the course requirements.
  • While we strive to provide accurate and reliable Course Reading Materials, we do not guarantee that they will be entirely free from errors. If you come across any inaccuracies or mistakes within the Reading Materials or the Learning Platform, we encourage you to inform us at the earliest opportunity so that we can address them.
  • Education is constantly evolving, and as a result, Course Reading Materials, Reading Resources, Videos, and Case Studies may be updated as needed to align with industry standards and the requirements of awarding bodies. If any modifications are made to your course, we will make every effort to notify you in a timely manner, but we will not be held liable for any consequences arising from these changes.

7. Student Code of Conduct

7.1. Behaviour and Participation

  • We are dedicated to fostering a work environment where all staff are treated and treat others with fairness and respect, free from any form of harassment or bullying. Students must engage respectfully with tutors, staff, and peers.
  • Harassment, discrimination, or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated.
  • If you ever encounter any form of harassment or bullying from our staff, please reach out to us confidentially at care@globalunipath.com.

7.2. Attendance and Engagement

  • While GlobalUniPath offers flexible distance learning, regular participation and successful completion of the coursework is encouraged for academic success.
  • Students should actively engage in lessons, discussions, and coursework to maximise learning outcomes and benefit from the course.

8. Data Protection and Privacy

8.1. Personal Data

  • By enrolling, students consent to the collection and processing of their personal data for course administration and communication purposes.
  • GlobalUniPath complies with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to ensure fair, lawful, and secure data processing.

8.2. Third-Party Data Sharing

  • Personal data will not be shared with third parties without explicit consent, except where required by law or for academic certification purposes.
  • For registration and certification purposes, personal details will be shared with the accredited awarding body relevant to the chosen course.

9. Termination of Enrolment

9.1. Voluntary Withdrawal

  • Students wishing to withdraw from a course must inform GlobalUniPath in writing.
  • Refund eligibility will depend on the timing of withdrawal, as per our Refund Policy.

9.2. College-Initiated Termination

GlobalUniPath reserves the right to terminate enrolment due to:

  • Non-compliance with terms and conditions.
  • Failure to meet academic requirements.
  • Misconduct or disruptive behaviour.

10. Complaints and Appeals

10.1. Complaints Procedure

  • Students dissatisfied with any aspect of their course can submit a formal complaint through our Complaints Procedure.
  • All complaints will be addressed in a timely manner.

10.2. Appeals

Students have the right to appeal decisions related to:

  • Assessment results
  • Disciplinary actions
  • Enrolment status

Appeals must be submitted within 14 days of the decision.

11. Scholarships and Discounts

GlobalUniPath offers scholarships and discounts under specific terms and conditions.

  • Students can only receive one GlobalUniPath scholarship or discount. If eligible for multiple offers, the one providing the greatest benefit will be awarded, unless stated otherwise.
  • Scholarships and discounts are provided as a tuition fee reduction and are non-transferable. No cash, bank transfer, or voucher alternatives will be offered.
  • All scholarships and discounts are one-time awards and non-renewable, unless explicitly specified otherwise.
  • Scholarships and discounts cannot be deferred. If a student postpones their course start date, their scholarship or discount will be revoked, and they must reapply for consideration in a future intake.
  • To qualify for a scholarship or discount, students must have applied for a course and meet all specified entry criteria for their selected programme.
  • Students must commence their course within one month of receiving the scholarship or discount.
  • Students must be self-funded and paying full tuition fees to be eligible for scholarships and discounts. Those whose fees are covered by a sponsor, employer, or government agency are not eligible.
  • GlobalUniPath reserves the right to modify or withdraw any scholarship or discount at its sole discretion.
  • Scholarships and discounts may be revoked if a student fails to meet tuition fee payment deadlines.
  • Students benefiting from special fee arrangements with recruitment partners will not be eligible for scholarships or discounts.
  • Any course extensions, retakes, or reassessments will be at the student’s expense, and no additional scholarship or discount will be granted for such periods.
  • Scholarships and discounts may vary by course. If a student changes their course, prior approval will be required, and their eligibility will be reassessed.

12. Events Beyond GlobalUniPath’s Control

GlobalUniPath will not be liable for delays, disruptions, or losses caused by events beyond its reasonable control, such as:

  • Pandemics, epidemics, or public health emergencies.
  • Industrial action, natural disasters, or acts of terrorism.
  • Government regulations or sudden staff absences.
  • Third-party service failures (e.g. awarding bodies, payment processors).

In such cases, GlobalUniPath will take reasonable steps to minimise the impact and restore services as soon as possible.

13. University Admission and Awarding Body Verification

Upon successful completion of all required modules, assignments, and multiple-choice assessments, and after internal verification by GlobalUniPath, certification from the awarding body may take approximately 1 to 3 months, subject to the awarding body’s processes and any ongoing verifications.

GlobalUniPath does not guarantee automatic or unconditional progression into a university degree or master’s programme. Admission will depend on individual student qualifications, experience, and the specific entry requirements of the university to which they are applying.
